Our Story
CivicOS Institute was founded on the belief that technology can and should serve the public interest. In an era of increasing digital transformation, democratic institutions need research-driven, open-source solutions that promote transparency, accountability, and citizen engagement.
We are a Florida-based nonprofit corporation, established in 2025, with a mission to bridge the gap between civic needs and technological capability.

Financial Transparency
As a pending 501(c)(3) organization, we are committed to financial transparency. Once we receive our federal tax exemption, we will:
- Publish annual reports
- File Form 990 annually
- Maintain transparent financial records
- Make our financial statements available to donors and the public
